Hi, I’m Jan — a self-taught developer and engineer currently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. My journey into tech has been anything but traditional, and that’s what makes it unique.

I started out as a car mechanic, a path I took during a challenging phase of my life. Over time, I discovered a love for learning and problem-solving, which eventually led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Motorsport Engineering. Forseveral years, I worked as a Systems Engineer and Lead Consultant in the automotive industry, specializing in building simulation models for Hardware-in-the-Loop systems.

In 2022, I decided to move to Thailand. While learning Thai and adapting to a new culture, I realized I wanted more than a stable career — I wanted something that felt fulfilling and creative. That’s when I started teaching myself web development.

By the end of 2023, after countless hours of learning and building projects, I landed my first job as a developer in a foreign country. This move not only solidified my passion for coding but also gave me the opportunity to embrace a lifestyle of growth and creativity. Today, I work as a back-end developer, primarily using Laravel/PHP but eager to learn new technologies.
